According to the July 2005 census estimate, the city has a population of 470,688 and a metropolitan population of 4,917,717. As of July 1, 2005, Atlanta's combined statistical area is estimated to have a population of 5,249,121.
A major city in its own right, Atlanta is considered a poster child for cities world wide experiencing rapid urban sprawl, economic development and growth. In the last decade, the Atlanta metropolitan area added over 1,150,000 residents – the fourth-largest gain in absolute numbers of any metropolitan area in the United States. Atlanta is recognized as one of the driving forces of the "New South," and has in recent years undergone a transition from a city of regional commerce to a city of international influence.
If
you are moving to Georgia you will probably need to know answers to
questions like the following:
What is the right amount of coverage for me?
This is a very difficult question to answer without first sitting down with
each of our clients and asking them several questions about your situation,
assets you are trying to protect and exposures you currently have. Remember
that every situation is different.
How can I lower my premiums?
There are several ways to lower your premiums, some of them include
increasing your deductibles, adding a preferred provider option to you auto
coverage, placing your home and auto coverage with the same company,
carpool, good student and safe driver discounts. Whatever your situation, we
will inform you of every discount available to meet your needs and save you
as much money as possible.
Should I carry full coverage on my auto?
The easiest way to answer this is to ask yourself, if my car disappeared
today would I need the money from my insurance company to replace it. If the
answer to this questions is “yes” then you do need full coverage.
What Do I Do If I Have a Claim?
As an Independent Agent we will help you with the claims process. At 1st
Georgia Insurance we prefer that you contact us with the first report of
claim and we can then help you throughout the process. However if you
prefer, most of the companies we represent do have toll free numbers and you
can report claims direct to the company 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
